Guys, there are so many songs to choose from, because almost every song on the show was a cover. If the Muppets weren’t putting their unique spin on a song, then the guest star was. If you don’t mind the indulgence, we are going to celebrate The Muppet Show, and Black History Month at the same time here. So let’s just play the music already. First to the stage is Ben Vereen performing ‘Mr Cellophane’ from the musical Chicago.
Up next is Lou Rawls giving Kermit a lesson with the jazz standard ‘Bye Bye Blackbird’
Next, here’s Lola Falana performing ‘He’s the Greatest Dancer’ originally by Sister Sledge.
Go check out the original Muppet Show for yourself to see more from these artist and so much more!
